Contemplation
We expend a lot of time and energy in trying to express ourselves. When we say too much, most of what we say is wasted. People switch off and stop listening.
Application
A lot can be said in a few words. When I think carefully about what I need to communicate, I realize I can do it more easily with fewer words. This saves my time and energy, and that of others. Other people then become more willing to listen to me, and understand what I need them to do.
