"To understand the significance of everything that happens is to be light."
Contemplation
When something happens that contradicts what we expect, we find it difficult to understand. We tend to get upset or disturbed, which further confuses the mind, leaving us confounded and unable to do anything to correct the situation.
Application
Everything happens for a reason. When things don't happen the way I expect them to, I need to try hard to work out why. If I understand the reason behind an event, I will no longer feel weighed down by worries and confusion. I will become light and free.
